Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service

The Queens Award for Voluntary Service is awarded nationally every year to voluntary organisations which are volunteer led and volunteer run. This is the equivalent of an MBE or an OBE for organisations. Organisations have to show they are exceptional of their kind. If you would like to be considered then the closing date for this  year’s round is 30 September 2016 but nominations can be sent in at any time of the year. To qualify you need to  be in existence for 3 years or over, have more than 50% volunteers but you can be as small as 2 people. You would need to find someone to nominate you who is neither a staff member, nor volunteer nor a trustee supported by two references.
