We deliver a range of exciting projects designed to improve wellbeing and increase resilience. We are now seeking an experienced, proactive Admin Officer to join our small, friendly and enthusiastic team. This is a busy and diverse role taking care of all our office, digital and admin functions, liaising with our suppliers and supporting our projects.

To develop and co-ordinate training sessions and workshops as part of a Supported Volunteering project, offering support to people with disabilities and Mental Health issues.  To find suitable volunteering placements in voluntary and community organisations. To provide information, advice and guidance to volunteer involving organisations to enable them to become more accessible to volunteers with Mental Health problems. To coordinate and deliver workshops/training sessions.

North Herts CVS – Removing The Borders Project Manager

21 – 28 Hrs per week    £26,000 Pro Rata   18 month contract

NHCVS are seeking an individual with excellent communication and partnership development skills to implement, develop and promote this new project funded by Department of Communities and Local Government.

The project aims to maximise information for people to enable them to use community transport to access services including local hospitals. There are a variety of different schemes and services and the project will identify these, increase collaborative working, and improve ease of booking for members of the public.

Previous experience of setting up and delivering a project is required as is an understanding of the importance of community transport. The project will be managed by North Herts CVS and the post holder will be based in Letchworth with travel across Hertfordshire.

Cook – The Hospice of St Francis

15 hours per week
Salary: £6,958
(pro rata) p.a. + Benefits (Based on FTE £16,700)

The food we provide is a highly valued part of our service, making a real difference to people. Our catering team provide a variety of food to patients, their families and staff within a state of the art kitchen. The team will also provide catering to Hospice functions, as and when required.

We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our small, friendly catering team. In this role you will have regular contact with patients, their families and visitors therefore a friendly, caring and approachable manner is essential, with the ability to work in a Hospice setting.

Previous experience as a Cook is essential, and you will need to hold a Food Hygiene Certificate.

The catering shift pattern is 08:15 to 14:15 / 14:00 to 20:00 / 17:00 to 20:00. The current days required are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with weekend working (on rota).

Please note: the catering team are required to be flexible to support the 7-day operation.

BANK CATERING ASSISTANT
Salary £8.26/hour

We are looking for a Bank Catering Assistant to help our small friendly kitchen team, as and when necessary, providing assistance in food preparation and cleaning.  Experience of assisting in a kitchen is essential.  Possession of a Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable; however training can be given.

The role requires flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and evenings (5-8pm), on an ad hoc basis.

Bank E-Commerce Assistant Managers – The Hospice of St Francis

Salary: Hourly rate £8.47

We are looking for Bank E-Commerce Assistant Managers with the ability to work in our eBay Shop on an ad-hoc basis, to cover holidays, training days and absences. You will bring your experience, energy and enthusiasm to the role providing cover to support the Manager with donations, processing gift aid and with the day to day retail activities of our successful shop.

Retail experience, the ability to work under pressure, excellent customer service, IT skills and strong organisational skills are all essential requirements.

Previous eBay selling experience is essential and an eBay ID essential

The role requires the flexibility to work various days across Monday to Friday,
and may require some bank holiday working
