The Recover Team launched as a project managed by Change, Grow, Live (CGL) in 2012/13, supporting vulnerable adults improve their wellbeing and find pathways to meaningful employment.
The original plan was phased:
Year One and Two – launch as a social enterprise managed by CGL (2012/13)
Year Three – register as a separate organisation (2015)
Year Four – register as an independent charity (2016)
Year Five – recruit local Trustees (current)
This is a most exciting time for Recover as we transition towards becoming an independent local charity with our own dedicated Board of local Trustees.
Our current Board of Trustees is formed of three senior executives of CGL who are committed to helping us through the transition stage. They will hand over the governance and support as Trustees to our newly appointed Trustees when we have completed our recruitment process.
We would like to introduce to the Board potential new Trustees who will be able to support Recover with its charitable activities and continue to operate as an independent local charity. This will then enable our current Trustees to step down at an appropriate planned time.
Potential new Trustees will require to have experience/background in at least one of the following:
Finance and/or Budget Management
Legal (employment law, charity law)
Business support & marketing (fund raising)
