Volunteer Centre St Albans District

We’re passionate about volunteering and the difference it can make in our community. Giving your time and expertise to a local group or charity can help people feel less isolated, conserve our environment, provide activities for children…the list of benefits are endless.

Our Volunteer Centre has hundreds of roles available including fundraising, driving, conservation, support work, befriending and helping at events

Volunteers often tell us that they get back just as much as they give, and more!
Volunteering can help you increase your confidence, find paid work, learn new skills and make new friends.

The experts call it Social Capital but we simply call it the “feel good factor”

But don’t take our word for it – hear what our volunteers have to say here

You can find our latest volunteering opportunities in our booklet – September 2017 (PDF)

Or you can search and apply online

If you are interested in volunteering as a trustee the latest opportunities are here.(Word)

Volunteering for all

We believe that the benefits of volunteering should be accessible to everyone.
We recognise the value that the different backgrounds, skills, outlooks and experiences of our volunteers bring to the organisation and welcome applications from everyone in our community.
