Featured Funds

Funding is always one of the main concerns if you are a charity. Therefore we have compiled together a list of opportunities below of ways that you can raise funds for your charity!

We strongly recommend that our members put themselves forward to be involved in these great programmes!

Waitrose Community Matters

Waitrose Community Matters programme launched in 2008 and has donated £14 million to local charities since then!

Here is how the programme works:

At the end of your shop in branch, you’ll receive a token to place in a box of the good cause you’d most like to support. The more tokens a cause gets, the bigger the donation they receive. Each month every Waitrose branch donates £1,000 between 3 local good causes that you choose. Online, Waitrose.com also shares a donation of £25,000 between 3 national causes.

Tesco Bags of Help Fund

Bags of Help is Tesco’s local community grant scheme where the money raised from the 5p bag levy in Tesco stores is being used to fund thousands of community projects across the UK. The projects must meet the criteria of promoting community participation in the development and use of outdoor spaces.

Three local community projects will be voted on in Tesco stores each month. In each region, the project that received the most votes will receive a grant of up to £5,000. The second placed project receives up to £2,000 and third placed up to £1,000.
