*NEW LOCAL FUND - St Albans Health in the Home Fund*

Launching Monday 27 April
We are pleased to announce that St Albans and District CVS is launching
and administering a new fund, provided by Hertfordshire County Council.
Groups can apply for work helping vulnerable people to stay healthy at home, eg elderly, disabled, carers. For more information and how to apply find details here from 27 April or come to the SADC Community Grants Fund Launch Event (see above).

The Ride takes place on Sunday 17th May 2015.
The Rotary Clubs in St Albans organise the event to raise money for local charities through rider sponsorship.
The Cycle Ride welcomes new entrants and sees the return of many who have taken part before at all levels of age, fitness and cycling proficiency.

Reaching out to all visually impaired residents
St Albans & District Talking Newspaper (“SADTN”) helps blind and partially-sighted residents keep in touch with what’s going on in their local community. Every listener is provided free-of-charge with a playback unit and four audio programmes posted each month. Programmes include news stories and readers’ letters from the local papers, articles from local and national magazines, interviews with local ‘celebrities’, previews of music/arts events, audio book reviews and more. If you know someone who is visually impaired, please help them to enjoy these programmes by contacting
